Law School Student Scholarship
This scholarship is intended to support law school students aspiring to be the next female leaders in law in Delaware. Michele Procino-Wells, Esq. and Amber B. Woodland, Esq. have a love of learning. Their years as students were strengthened by inspiring mentors; their professional expertise grows annually with access to national training; and they pour knowledge into the community through detailed estate planning and elder law workshops. Their passion for education grows as they extend this scholarship to the next female leaders in the Delaware legal industry.
Eligibility:
- Female law school student beginning or continuing coursework at an accredited institution in the fall of 2023
- Delaware resident
- Intending to build a career in Delaware
To Apply:
- Email MLS@pwwlaw.com with interest in applying. Email should include the applicant’s full name, mailing address, and phone number.
- Attach proof of law school enrollment.
- Attach an essay that describes one of the following:
- A mentor(s) or educator(s) that has inspired your career dreams
- The biggest mistake you’ve made or the biggest lesson you’ve learned
- Your opinion of what success looks like
- Attach one letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, or employer, including their contact information.
- Attach a complete and updated resume.
Scholarship finalists will be contacted for an in-person or virtual interview with a panel of team members from Procino-Wells & Woodland, LLC.
Scholarship applications must be received no later than March 31, 2023.
AWARD:
Two recipients will receive $500 scholarships to support their education costs in the 2023-2024 school year.
